While on a walk in Washington state, Jen Ewing spotted something unusual on the ground—a lost paycheck. Instead of walking by, she picked it up and took the time to return it in person to the local restaurant that issued it.
The grateful employees offered her a hot dog as a thank-you. But the story didn’t end there. Ewing shared the moment on TikTok, where it quickly went viral. With the money earned from the TikTok Creator Fund, she pledged to match the value of the paycheck and donate it back to the restaurant.
“I never expected it to blow up, but I hope it encourages others to do the right thing, too,” she said.
